How It Works & Creates Value
The system is designed so that all inputs (soil, water, minerals) are permanently contained within a proprietary closed-system architecture. Only beneficial outputs—harvested biomass, water vapor, and oxygen—are released. This design creates exceptional value through:
No Electricity. No Pumps. No Sensors.
The system is driven entirely by any pressurised or elevated water source, regulated by a single mechanical float valve. It has no pump, no timer, no sensor and no power supply, and it runs unattended for weeks at a time. That makes it deployable where grid power is absent, unreliable or unaffordable.
Water and Nutrients Retained, Not Lost
Every litre admitted to the system is either taken up by the crop or lost only as vapour. There is no runoff, no deep percolation and no routine discharge, so water and dissolved nutrients stay where the plants can use them. The company has scoped an independent six-month trial to quantify water productivity — crop grown per litre applied — against a drip-irrigated control.
Zero Harmful Impact
In normal, enclosed operation the system discharges nothing to the environment — no runoff, no leachate, no effluent — and the growing medium is natural soil, so the system can be run fully organically.

PermaBox Global Ltd is at the foundation stage. It is directed by its founders and is building toward a multi-disciplinary board with a non-executive majority, drawing on agricultural science, stewardship ethics and international law. That structure will be in place before the company takes external investment or deploys at commercial scale.
The company is committed to publishing an annual stewardship report and to independent governance review once operations and external funding begin. Until then, the results of any proof-of-concept trial the company undertakes will be published irrespective of outcome.
